Active RFID technology introduction
RFID is a simple wireless system, consists of two basic components, the interrogator (or reader) and a transponder (or tag), supplemented by external antenna, network, middleware, management system, so as to form a complete RFID application system.
RFID tags are commonly known as electronic tags, storage a unique cod in RFID tags , the address space is much higher than the bar code can provide, so we can achieve the encoding single grade goods. The label will transmit periodic signal in accordance with the preset rules of after power on, the reader will get the information transmitted from the tag when the RFID tag comes into the area of read write equipment, complete the identification process on the label.
The reader is an equipment that reads and writes the RFID tag, mainly includes the radio frequency module and the digital signal processing unit. The reader is the most important equipment in the RFID system. On the one hand, the returned electromagnetic signal of RFID tag through the antenna into the radio frequency module of the reader and is converted into digital signal, then the digital signal processing unit of the reader carries out necessary processing and shaping, finally, returned the information, complete the identification of RFID tags. On the other hand, the upper layer middleware and application software interact with the reader to realize the operation instruction execution and data collection and upload. While uploading data, the reader will re-filter or simple conditions filter the atomic events of RFID tags, upload it after processing into reader events, to reduce data exchange between middleware and application software. Many readers also integrate microprocessor and embedded system to achive part of the function of middleware, such as signal state control, parity error checking and correction etc.
